Way out in front of the field with three 90-plus point runs was Red Bull Ski Team newcomer Kaya Turski. Kaya brought the heat on her last run with a 270 disaster, 450-off the canon, switch 900, 540 and switch 720 off the big bottom booter to give her a score of 96.66 and an 11-point lead on the competition.
All in all, not a bad afternoon as the Red Bull Ski Team nabs two of the first three medals award at WX14.

"I've always wanted to get all my friends together and film in all the best spots around the world," Red Bull skier Grete Eliassen says about her new project. Say My Name is a two-year venture Grete embarked on last season with longtime ski/snowboard photographer Stan Evans. The two and crew spent most of last winter in the Utah backcountry honing Grete's skills on her sled and on the steps. All the time has already paid off huge, check out Grete's huge huck photos and story in the current November issue of Powder Magazine.
With a good season of filming already in the bag, Grete hopes to branch out this season and bring other athletes into the project like Sarah Burke, Marie-France Roy, and Seth Morrison. Keep an eye out here for updates on her progress, and check out the teaser below:

Results always get released during the Powder Magazine Video Awards, and this season will be no different as the PVAs again make their mark in late January in Aspen. And, just so you know, your vote for the 2010 Powder Reader's Poll not only gains you the satisfaction of being a proactive member of our ski community, but it also gets you an entry into the contest that will bring you to Aspen for four days for the show. PVAs happen to be the same time as Winter X Games, so it's like winning three trips in one (Assspen, PVAs, and X Games, get it?)! AND, as a bonus for linking to the voting through RedBullSkiing.Com, Powder Associate Editor Johnny Stifter has agreed to be the personal ski valet to the winners of the contest for their entire trip, should they come through RedBullSkiing.com! What a guy!

Red Bull Skiers walked away from the show last night with a slew of hardware. The night started off with Tanner Hall nabbing second place, a position he's held for a number of years, in the Reader's Poll. On the women's side, Grete Eliassen held it down with a thrid place trophy. Little guy Sean Pettit was presented the Breakthrough Performer Award by super big guy Lonnie Paxton of the New England Patriots. Finally, Simon Dumont cleanly stomped the Best Manmade Air award for his mind-blowing world record quarterpipe hit from last spring.
Big congrats Grete! Stay tuned for further coverage...
In other news, get ready to surf come couch in a couple hours as we got the Men's Superpipe Finals live on NBC at 4:30 p.m. Eastern (that's 3:30 Central, 2:30 Mountain, and 1:30 Pacific). Why should you watch? Well for one it's a rare oppurtunity to see Red Bull's Simon Dumont and Tanner Hall, the best pipe skiers in the world, duke it out in a sure to be no-holds-barred event. Word is Justin Dorey, who got second to Tanner at the Breckenridge stop, was busting double in practice. Will Tanner break out his double? Tune in and find out.
"All I have to say is, this week has been the "Best Week Ever!" Utah got dumped on, Senator Obama became our President, Utah beat TCU which makes them undefeated after 10 games and Snowbird opened today. You can't really ask for anything more then that. Anyways, since it was opening day I headed up to Snowbird. With a 46'' base and the tram being open, it was more than the best first day ever for me. Growing up in Minnesota and Norway you don't really get to ski pow pow on your first day of the season."
