FL_Cover-copy.jpgYou may remember back in April when the Rocky Mountain Sherpas partnered with Tanner Hall's The Massive to capture insane footage of the avalanche safety aspect surrounding the making a high-profile ski movie. Well, after a highly successful run of showing in Canada, the Fine Line is now available to everyone via DVD. They sent us the press release below and a sick collection of shots from the filming of The Fine Line.

Winter's here and before you know it, you might find yourself on top of a sick backcountry line wishing you knew more about avalanche safety. After a year of insanely hard work, The Fine Line: a 16mm Avalanche Education Film is ready to be shipped to your home.

Avalanches are the dark reality of life in the mountains and it takes years of experience to predict when and where they're gonna pop. The Fine Line's in the business of helping you start the journey towards educating yourself.

Update: Team Page!

IMG_0045.jpgListen, I know you usually get on here and click around all day long reading up on your favorite Red Bull Riders, but I'll concede that sometimes you only have a couple minutes to check in with what's new. Hey, I get busy too...slaying pow leaves little time in the day to work.

Anyway, don't forget to pop over to the Team Page for updates on the Red Bull Ski Team. Little snippets that don't always get pumped on the front page. Right now you can check out what Tanner Hall and Sean Pettit have in common, how the Red Bull Ski Team is dominating print media, and how Dav is bringing skiing to a snowless empire.

London Freeze: Comp Day!

Categories:

logomodupdate2.jpgFriday morning in London was much better than the previous evening. Pissing rain was replaced by pleasant fall sunshine--not altogether very common in the UK I gather--and the London Freeze was set for some competition. As we mentioned before, Tanner Hall and Jon Olsson decided to stay off the jump, but Simon Dumont planned to be in full effect, and that he was.

Getting up on the jump early, it was obvious Simon brought his A game overseas. Poling into the frightening inrun, Dumont was solidly dropping some corked out 9s way down the landing. Tanner and Jon watched from the judging platform and cheered Simon the rest of the field on. One of Tanner's favorite new riders is XXXL super tall T Henrick Harlaut, who was throwing down some nasty spins in practice.

London Freeze: Day 1

LogoLFreeze.jpgOk, so there's good news and bad news. The good news first: Simon Dumont made the trip over to Jolly Ol' and has been practicing to compete in today's big air event at the London Freeze. The bad news: Tanner Hall and Jon Olsson are here, but not competing in the event. The will act as judges for the field. Tanner made the decision about a week ago to leave his skis back in the states, "I haven't been on snow in a month and a half. I was skiing really well in New Zealand, but to be gone that long and then throw down your sickest move on a rickety scaffolding jump...it just isn't worth it when I think what I want to do the entire rest of the season," he said.

Tanner and Jon Compete in London Friday...What?

Categories:

new_funmap01.jpgDidn't you know London has sick terrain and epic early season snow? Well it does if you consider a giant big air jump made of scaffolding and snow from shaved ice blocks to be sick terrain with epic snow. Nonetheless, a big air comp on the River Thames will surely be a sight to behold, and you all will have a front row seat as RedBullSkiing.Com will be there to cover the event. Red Bull Team riders Tanner Hall and Jon Olsson are both confirmed at the LG London Freeze, with finals going down Friday.

The Massive PNW Tour

logomod.jpgThe Massive madness in the Pacific Northwest began Wednesday night in Portland, Oregon. The scene was set at the Mission Theatre, a historic horseshoe shaped venue, and the crowd poured in to fill up both the upper and lower decks. Red Bull flowed like snowmelt in May, and many a The Massive fan enjoyed the still rare, but tasty, Red Bull Cola. The stage was lit up with a Red Bull DJ booth as the tunes kicked out for some pre-show partying.

Jeremy Nobis and His Ace!

DSC_0379_rs.jpgA couple weeks ago, Jeremy Nobis attended Sports Creel's Founder's Day Festival in Spokane, WA. Tanner Hall and The Massive were on hand for a day filled with rail-sliding, autograph signing, and movie screening. The following day, Jeremy, Tanner, Micah from Sport's Creel and some friends hit the links for a leisurely Sunday round. Stepping up to a par 3, Nobis summoned his inner Tiger and, well, we'll let him tell the rest:
