Red Bull ripper Simon Dumont went to South America last month. He DID NOT ski. Believe it or not, this is kind of a big deal for the Dumont. As much as that guy loves to be on snow and on skis, it's really pretty impressive.

The Ninja Skillz Came Early for Lil' T...

It would be fair to call Tanner Hall a ninja on skis...in the skill department anyway. In the looks department he's probably a little closer to a rasta on skis...or something like that. Anyway, Tanner's brother, and Sensei of Sales at Armada Skis, Tyson Hall dug up a sweet pick of Lil' T.

Winter is Back!

From Retallack to Utah to Mt. Hood, winter is back and hitting hard. You didn't think it was over did you? Get out there and get after it! The PNW is an especially good bet right now. Mt. Hood is slated for something like 60 inches in 6 days, possibly much more. And with Meadows running a $99 pass for the remainder of the season, well, you really don't have much excuse to not get some pow slaying done this spring (also, in case you forgot, last April was epic everywhere).

Tanner's New Deal

It's been a big year for Tanner Hall in terms of both results in the Superpipe and new sponsorship deals. His latest deal is with French underwear company Pull-In, which makes him the first American athlete on the international team including the likes of Xavier Bertoni and TJ Schiller.

Tanner Gains Street Cred

Well, kinda. In the most recent issue of Rolling Stone Magazine (Issue 1071), on page 32 we find Nick Cannon walking the streets of Aspen with Mariah Carey whilst rocking some Tanner Hall Signature Edition Oakley Crowbars.

That's something, right? I mean, wasn't Nick Cannon on some kids show? Well, he's married to Mariah anyway, and we all saw that Cribs episode. Here's to Tanner for creating something worthy of cranial accessorizing by the ultra rich and famous.

"Plays of the Year": McConkey Gets Opening Shot

Once again Shane is bringing us more internet video goodness. Back on December 12th, Shane and Miles Daisher of the Red Bull Air Force celebrated the opening of the new Peak 2 Peak gondola at Whistler by jumping off half way. Makes total sense. Anyway, some TV station in Canuckistan makes a "Plays of the Year" segment each year and Shane and Miles' video of their jump leads off the segment. There's plenty of other Red Bull action in the form of Red Bull X-Fighters, Red Bull Air Race, and Robbie Madsen's New Year's Eve distance record from a little over a year ago. Apparently they didn't have the time to edit in Maddo's new height record, or another little record (***cough***Simon Dumont***cough***) that was set last year. Come on Canada, we know Simon doesn't play hockey, but we expect a bit more out of you on the skiing front, eh?

Tanner's New Gear

Tanner's affinity for Reggae music and culture may have seemingly taken a hit when he cut his dreads off a couple months ago (actual reason is they were getting too big to fit under his helmet. Safety first!), but in actuality it's alive and well in the gear he's been sporting of late. Dalbello tailored their Il Moro boot for next season to Tanner's tastes with a steezy rasta color fade shell. Oakley will introduce Tanner's outerwear line in a couple week at X Games, which feature rasta accents on the pants, a dope tri-color hoodie, and the evolution of Tanner's Signature Model Crowbar goggle. And of course, Haile Selassie and a lion remain on the 09/10 T Hall Pro Model from Armada. It'll be interesting to see what Tanner's newest sponsor, Dakine, throws into the mix.

McConkey Declares Mexico "Really Mexican!"

Shane McConkey has pretty much solidified his skiing alter ego as a BASE jumper in the off season. Being that the states are experiencing a pretty dry early season (except you lucky dogs in CO and AK), McConkey saw fit to bust on down to Mexico and really get off the beaten path and rough it. Check out his update below:

Some of us on the Red Bull Air Force recently returned from a really great trip to the state of Mexico in the country of Mexico near the city of Mexico City. It was really Mexican and it was a blast! We were there to shoot a multi sport TV show for the Mexican sports channel Televisa. Kind of like our ESPN. It was a show funded by the state of Mexico to help promote tourism in that area. Altius, the company hired to produce the show did a hell of a job juggling many different sports and trying to nail all the shots they needed in a less than a week. There were mountain bikers, break dancers, free runners (Parkour), Kirby one of our Red Bull Air Race pilots and then there was Mike Swanson, Jon DeVore, Miles Daisher and myself there to do some base jumping, skydiving, wing suit flights, mountain flying and swooping.

Water Ramping with Jon!

Red Bull's Jon Olsson and Oscar Scherlin hit up some pre-season water ramp action along with Yank shredder TJ Schiller. Jon spends a good portion of his off-season in Stockholm freezing his ass and slogging up wet stairs, but that's what it takes to stay on top of the game and Jon's definitely on top.

SheJumps.Org Benefit Party 11/20 in Seattle!

A slew of professional athletes will be in attendance including Lynsey Dyer and Claire Smallwood. The party will benefit a rad organization dedicated to increasing female involvement in action sports. The new Rage Films flick, "Such is Life," will be screened. And for your $20 donation you'll get a afternoon/night pass to Steven's Pass. Basically, there's no reason for anyone within 200 miles of Seattle not to go.
