Once again Shane is bringing us more internet video goodness. Back on December 12th, Shane and Miles Daisher of the Red Bull Air Force celebrated the opening of the new Peak 2 Peak gondola at Whistler by jumping off half way. Makes total sense. Anyway, some TV station in Canuckistan makes a "Plays of the Year" segment each year and Shane and Miles' video of their jump leads off the segment. There's plenty of other Red Bull action in the form of Red Bull X-Fighters, Red Bull Air Race, and Robbie Madsen's New Year's Eve distance record from a little over a year ago. Apparently they didn't have the time to edit in Maddo's new height record, or another little record (***cough***Simon Dumont***cough***) that was set last year. Come on Canada, we know Simon doesn't play hockey, but we expect a bit more out of you on the skiing front, eh?

Here's the vid of the jump, click the link above to see it open the "Plays of the Year." P.S.Shane, is that a pig in your pants?

blowup_cover.jpgBy now you should have all seen the unique back/front fold out cover that Freeskier Magazine chose to utilize to commemorate Simon Dumont and his successful world record quest last spring. Recently, Freeskier invited Simon, his crew, and all his sponsors to their World Headquarters for a bit of celebration. Now, we haven't really been keeping track, but we don't think Freeskier exactly rolls out the red carpet like this for every cover.

Check out coverage here, and a full set of photos from the evening here.

Thanks, Freeskier!
DUMONT_CP_240108_8590.jpgBeaverton, OR, 2008 - Multiple X-Games golds, world-records, and a mind-blowing level of progression -- Simon Dumont is notorious for constantly upping the level of his skiing and redefining the boundaries of the sport. Simon will be returning to the X-Games and Dew Tour for the 2008/ 2009 season, and filming the second half of his two-year documentary "Transitions." A true leader and pioneer in the making, Nike 6.0 is stoked to welcome Simon to the team.

"Watching Simon break the world record for highest quarter pipe air this season made us realize that he's willing to do whatever it takes to prove himself capable of anything. Simon has emerged as a true leader in the sport and there is really no telling what Simon will set his sights on next." -Riley Poor, Nike 6.0 Freeski Mentor
